I'm mainly known as an armour guy but recently I've really got into 1/32 aircraft after finishing my first aircraft model for around 30 years last year:



so I recently picked up the Azur 1/32 Dewoitine D.520 and it has to be the best looking fighter of WWII a classic belle of France

But it needs a bit of help. I started by adding all the missing rivets:


I then went to build the cockpit and didn't like what I saw. So using http://photos.caea.info/thumbnails.php?album=6 this excellent album of photos from a restoration, and the net and a book I have (in Polish!) on the D.520 I set about making my own





a quick test fit:



But then I did a really silly thing and decided to chop open the nose and add an engine



I had to make some new engine covers:


And of course an engine ( I still have a lot to do on this

Thanks guys, they are not really my thing either, but now and again one catches my eye, and if I can 'make it mine' with additions or white plastic then I'm on it ;)

On what type of markings do you plan for?

There are some nice French/Italian camo for some ANR aircraft.

Bulgarian markings are also cool.

Or what about a nice Vichy-French pyjama?

Don't want to hijack, but here's my first attempt at this bird, tamiya 1/48, a long time ago.

i'm going for a french scheme, if i ever get the wings on!
